Scott and Nicole are a couple who like to keep things simple and since this was both of their second go around, simple and sweet was a perfect theme to go with! This couple met in the DC Metro area, fell in love, got engaged and were about to embark on a journey to Germany where Scott's military career was taking them to. The Jefferson Memorial was a perfect location to vow their love to one another!
When I first met Nicole in person at the Jefferson Memorial, it was on a day when the cherry blossoms were in peak bloom. I asked her to come in a dress so we could grab a photo that she could give Scott on the morning of their wedding. Battling the crowds at the Tidal Basin, not to mention the cool and windy weather, was so worth it because we got some incredible, beautiful images! When I presented these images to Nicole in her online gallery, her comment to me was "I've never looked at a picture of myself and felt so beautiful - thank you!"
A week later, the cherry blossoms were gone along with the large crowds, which made way for sunshine and a perfect day to get married. Close family and friends gathered, not only to witness the union between this couple, but to spend as much time with them before their move across international waters.
The ceremony began and the violinist filled the air with sweet music, tourists gathered to watch and the groom smiling as his lovely bride made her way down the aisle. The couple was all smiles throughout the ceremony and the kiss was perfection!
The Jefferson Memorial was so perfect for this couple and their sweet and simple wedding. I am honored each time a client chooses me to not only capture their day but to be a part of it. I take the responsibility very seriously but also like to have fun with my clients and put them at ease when they hire me. I wish Scott and Nicole the very best on their new endeavors in Germany.
And a bonus, here's a video of the couple's lovely day!
